Pindy is employed as the Community Development Officer for the Sikh Community Centre & Youth Club. Her role is to set up and manage activities and events that will improve the quality of life for the Northamptonshire Sikh community. This is done through meeting with infrastructure, voluntary, statutory and funding organisations; securing funding from local and national bodies to setting up activities; partnership working with other voluntary groups; research into community needs; and, management of community services.

She comes from a Human Resources background and has also worked in other voluntary organisations from which she has gained valuable knowledge of the voluntary sector.

Pindy is passionate about her work and is committed to developing the Sikh and wider communities in Northamptonshire.

On her comments for joining the Lotus Foundation she said:

“Through my experience of working at the Sikh Community Centre, I have recognised the need to reach wider communities, expand services and deliver them in suitable premises. Working with the Lotus Foundation is an excellent opportunity to build on current successes and to achieve these goals.”
